Seller: index rozvoje s.r.o., having its registered seat at Pitterova 2855/7, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic, registered with the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague (Městský soud v Praze), Section C, Insert 350089, not registered for VAT, trading under the business name “Arion Labs” through the online store available at www.arionpeptides.com, contact e-mail: info@arionpeptides.com (the “Seller”).
“Arion Labs” is the trading name under which the Seller presents itself to customers in operating the online store. The contracting party and holder of all rights and obligations under these Terms is always the Seller, i.e. index rozvoje s.r.o. Any reference to “Arion Labs”, the “store” or the “online store” refers to the Seller in this sense.
These General Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the mutual rights and obligations of the parties arising from or in connection with a purchase contract concluded between the Seller and any other natural or legal person (the “Customer”) through the online store. Where the Seller sells to consumers habitually resident in the Slovak Republic, the mandatory provisions of Slovak consumer-protection law apply in addition, pursuant to Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I), to the extent they are more favourable to the consumer than Czech law.
1.1 These Terms apply to Customers who are consumers within the meaning of § 2(a) of Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on Consumer Protection, as well as to Customers purchasing Goods in the course of their business activity (an “entrepreneur”). Provisions intended exclusively for consumers do not apply to entrepreneur Customers.
1.2 Deviating arrangements in a purchase contract take precedence over these Terms.
1.3 The Seller may amend or supplement these Terms. The version in force at the time an order is placed applies to the relevant purchase contract.
2.1 The Seller offers, through the online store, chemical substances, peptides and related products (the “Goods”), intended exclusively for scientific, research, development and laboratory purposes (“research use only”). The Goods are intended for in-vitro use or other laboratory and analytical purposes, exclusively by qualified persons in an appropriate laboratory or research setting.
2.2 The Goods offered by the Seller are not medicinal products within the meaning of Act No. 362/2011 Coll. on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices; not foodstuffs or food supplements within the meaning of Act No. 152/1995 Coll. on Foodstuffs; not cosmetic products within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009; and not veterinary medicinal products. The Goods are not intended for human or animal consumption, application on or into the human or animal body, or any comparable use.
2.3 The Goods are intended exclusively for entities competent to handle chemical substances professionally (research establishments, laboratories, universities, corporate development departments, etc.) and may only be used in accordance with their stated purpose and applicable chemicals and occupational-safety legislation, in particular Act No. 67/2010 Coll. on Conditions for Placing Chemical Substances and Chemical Mixtures on the Market.
2.4 The Goods are intended solely for persons over 18 years of age with full legal capacity. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that this condition is met.
2.5 The Seller reserves the right to refuse an order or withdraw from the contract if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Customer intends to use the Goods contrary to their stated purpose under this Article, or that the Customer does not meet the conditions of clauses 2.3 and 2.4.
3.1 The order process includes active confirmation (by ticking the relevant box) of the following declaration, without which the order cannot be completed:
“I declare that I will use the purchased Goods (chemical substances/peptides) exclusively for research and/or laboratory purposes, and not otherwise, in particular not for human or animal consumption, application on or into the body, or for therapeutic, dietary, cosmetic, doping or other purposes. I declare that I am able to handle the Goods in compliance with the applicable law of the Slovak Republic and of the European Union, and that I will act in accordance with these Terms. I acknowledge that, by placing this order and giving this consent, full responsibility for the further handling and use of the Goods is transferred to me.”
3.2 By placing an order and confirming the declaration in clause 3.1, the Customer expressly confirms and undertakes that it will use the Goods exclusively for research/laboratory purposes; is aware that the Goods are not intended for human/animal consumption or application; will handle the Goods in accordance with applicable legislation (in particular occupational safety and chemicals legislation); will independently verify the particular legal status of individual substances (e.g. anti-doping regulations); and will not pass the Goods to third parties in a manner that could result in use contrary to their stated purpose.
3.3 Upon conclusion of the purchase contract, responsibility for the further handling of the purchased Goods transfers to the Customer, in particular responsibility for the manner and purpose of use, the compliance of such use with the law applicable at the place of use, and any personal injury or property damage suffered by the Customer, third parties, or the Seller as a result of use of the Goods contrary to their stated purpose or applicable law.
3.4 The Seller is not liable for damage resulting from use of the Goods contrary to their stated purpose set out in these Terms. This does not affect the Seller's liability for defects (Article VIII), or liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, which cannot be waived in advance under § 574(2) of the Slovak Civil Code.
4.1 The presentation of Goods in the online store is for information purposes only and the Seller is not obliged to conclude a purchase contract in respect of such Goods.
4.2 By submitting an order through the order form, the Customer makes an offer to conclude a purchase contract. The contract is concluded upon the Seller's confirmation of the order being delivered to the e-mail address stated in the order.
4.3 All prices shown in the online store include applicable taxes; the cost of delivering the Goods is shown separately before the order is completed.
5.1 Payment may be made by bank transfer or by cash on delivery upon receipt of the shipment. The payment methods available for the given delivery country and shipping method are shown in the online store when completing the order.
5.2 Unless otherwise agreed, the Goods will be dispatched within the period indicated on the product page. Due to the nature of the Goods, shipment is made in neutral packaging without indication of contents.
6.1 A consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason within 14 days of taking delivery of the Goods, pursuant to Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on Consumer Protection in the Sale of Goods or Provision of Services under a Distance Contract or a Contract Concluded away from the Seller's Business Premises.
6.2 The consumer may withdraw from the contract by any unambiguous statement sent to the Seller's e-mail address (info@arionpeptides.com) or in writing to its address, including by using the model form set out in Annex 2 to Act No. 102/2014 Coll. It is sufficient to send the notice before the deadline expires. Withdrawal may also be exercised via the electronic withdrawal function made available on the online store's website.
6.3 The Seller shall, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day it receives notice of withdrawal, refund the consumer all payments received under the contract, including delivery, dispatch and postal costs.
6.4 The consumer may not withdraw from a contract for the sale of goods enclosed in protective packaging which is not suitable to be returned for health-protection or hygiene reasons and whose protective packaging has been broken after delivery (§ 7(6)(e) of Act No. 102/2014 Coll.); the Seller indicates on the relevant product page where this exception applies.
7.1 The Seller is liable for defects in the Goods under the Slovak Civil Code and Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on Consumer Protection. For used goods or goods with a limited shelf life, the warranty period is correspondingly shorter.
7.2 Liability for defects does not extend to defects arising from use of the Goods contrary to their stated purpose under Article II, improper storage by the Customer after delivery, or expiry of the recommended shelf life.
8.1 The Seller processes the Customer's personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. Details are set out in the separate Privacy Policy available on the online store's website.
9.1 A consumer has the right to ask the Seller for redress if dissatisfied with how a complaint was handled or believes the Seller has infringed its rights. If the Seller rejects the request or fails to respond within 30 days, the consumer has the right to file a petition to commence alternative dispute resolution with an entity such as the Slovak Trade Inspection (www.soi.sk) under Act No. 391/2015 Coll., or to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10.1 Relations between the Seller and the Customer are governed by Czech law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Where the Customer is a consumer habitually resident in Slovakia, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of Slovak law, pursuant to Article 6(2) of the Rome I Regulation.
10.2 If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid or ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
These Terms take effect on 08/09/2026.
