IMPORTANT NOTICE: The United Arab Emirates enforces pharmaceutical, narcotics and controlled-substance laws with exceptional severity, including custodial and, in serious cases, capital penalties for unauthorised import, possession or distribution of controlled or prescription-only substances. Research peptides supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory use are not currently listed as controlled substances under UAE federal law, but any marketing, sale, or use of these Products for human or animal administration, or without compliance with the conditions below, may expose the Customer to serious criminal liability under UAE law. Customers are strongly advised to obtain independent UAE legal advice before ordering.

“Arion Labs” is the trading name under which the Seller presents itself to customers in operating the online store. The contracting party and holder of all rights and obligations under these Terms is always the Seller, i.e. index rozvoje s.r.o. Any reference to “Arion Labs”, the “store” or the “online store” in these Terms refers to the Seller in this sense.
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the rights and obligations of the Seller and any customer ordering Products for delivery to, or use within, the United Arab Emirates (the “Customer”) through the online store. These Terms are provided in English for the convenience of Customers; where a dispute concerns interpretation, the governing law clause in Article 10 shall apply.
1.1 These Terms apply to Customers ordering as consumers as well as to Customers ordering in the course of a business, research institution, or other professional activity.
1.2 The Seller may amend or supplement these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time an order is placed applies to that order.
1.3 Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory protection available to the Customer under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection or its executive regulations, to the extent applicable.
2.1 The Seller offers, through the online store, chemical substances, peptides and related products (the “Products”) intended exclusively for scientific, experimental and laboratory research purposes (“research use only” / RUO). The Products are intended for in-vitro use and other laboratory and analytical purposes, exclusively by qualified persons in an appropriate laboratory or research setting.
2.2 The Products are not medicines, pharmaceutical products, or controlled substances registered or approved by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH), or the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE). The Products are not foodstuffs, food supplements, or cosmetic products. The Products are not intended for human or animal consumption, administration on or into the human or animal body, clinical, therapeutic or veterinary use, or any similar use, and have not been evaluated for safety or efficacy in humans or animals.
2.3 The Products are intended exclusively for research institutions, universities, accredited laboratories, contract research organisations, and other entities or persons professionally competent to handle chemical substances, and may only be used in accordance with their stated purpose and with all applicable UAE federal and emirate-level legislation, including without limitation legislation on narcotics and controlled substances (Federal Decree-Law No. 30 of 2021), customs and import control, and occupational health and safety.
2.4 The Products are reserved for persons who have reached the age of 18 and have full legal capacity. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that this condition is met.
2.5 The Seller reserves the right to refuse an order, request evidence of research or institutional affiliation, or withdraw from the contract if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Customer intends to use the Product contrary to its stated purpose under this Article 2, or that the Customer does not meet the conditions of clauses 2.3 and 2.4.
2.6 The Customer is solely responsible for obtaining, at its own cost, any import permit, no-objection certificate, or other authorisation that may be required by MOHAP, UAE Customs, or any other competent authority prior to importing the Products into the United Arab Emirates. The Seller does not guarantee that any given shipment will clear UAE customs and is not liable for any delay, seizure, or destruction of the Products by UAE authorities.
3.1 The order process requires the Customer to actively confirm (by ticking the relevant box) the following declaration, without which the order cannot be completed:
“I declare that I will use the purchased Product (chemical substances/peptides) exclusively for research and/or laboratory purposes, and not otherwise, in particular not for human or animal consumption, application on or into the body, or for therapeutic, dietary, cosmetic, doping or other purposes. I declare that I am able to handle the Product in compliance with the applicable law of the United Arab Emirates and, where relevant, my home jurisdiction, and that I will act in accordance with these Terms. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for obtaining any import permit or no-objection certificate required by UAE authorities. I acknowledge that, by placing this order and giving this consent, full responsibility for the further handling and use of the Product is transferred to me, and that misuse of research chemicals in the UAE may carry severe criminal penalties.”
3.2 By placing an order and confirming the declaration in clause 3.1, the Customer expressly confirms and undertakes that it will use the Product exclusively for research/laboratory purposes; is aware that the Product is not intended for human/animal consumption or application; will handle the Product in accordance with applicable law, including UAE narcotics, customs and health and safety legislation; will independently verify the legal status of any specific substance before importing, possessing or using it in the UAE; and will not pass the Product to any third party in a manner that could result in use contrary to its stated purpose.
3.3 Upon formation of the contract of sale, responsibility for the further handling of the purchased Product transfers to the Customer, including responsibility for the manner and purpose of use, compliance of such use with the law applicable at the place of use, and any injury to persons or property suffered by the Customer, third parties or the Seller as a result of use of the Product contrary to its stated purpose under these Terms or contrary to applicable law.
3.4 The Seller is not liable for any loss, damage, penalty, or criminal or administrative liability arising from use, import, possession, or handling of the Product contrary to its stated purpose under these Terms or in breach of applicable UAE law. This clause does not exclude the Seller's liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by a defective Product, to the extent such exclusion is not permitted under applicable law.
4.1 The presentation of Products on the online store is for information purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer by the Seller.
4.2 An order placed by the Customer constitutes an offer to purchase. The contract is formed when the Seller sends an order confirmation to the e-mail address provided by the Customer.
4.3 All prices displayed in the online store are exclusive of any UAE customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees, which remain the sole responsibility of the Customer.
5.1 Payment is made by bank transfer. The payment methods available are shown in the online store when completing the order.
5.2 The Product will be dispatched within the timeframe indicated on the product page, unless otherwise agreed. Given the nature of the Product, shipments are dispatched in neutral packaging without indication of contents, together with a commercial invoice, packing list, and, where applicable, a certificate of analysis and safety data sheet to support customs clearance. The Customer remains responsible for ensuring these documents meet the requirements of UAE Customs at the relevant point of entry.
6.1 Where the Customer qualifies as a consumer under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulations, the Customer may exercise any right of withdrawal or return available under that law within the period and subject to the conditions it prescribes. Sealed goods that have been unsealed after delivery for health or hygiene reasons are, where applicable law permits, excluded from any right of return; the Seller will indicate this on the relevant product page.
6.2 Outside any such mandatory consumer right, returns are accepted at the Seller's discretion in accordance with the return policy published on the online store.
7.1 The Seller warrants that the Products conform to their description and specification at the time of dispatch. This warranty does not extend to defects arising from use of the Product contrary to its stated purpose under Article 2, improper storage by the Customer after delivery, delay or damage caused during customs clearance, or expiry of the recommended shelf life.
8.1 The Seller processes the Customer's personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and, to the extent applicable, UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Details are set out in the separate Privacy Policy published on the online store.
9.1 Consumer complaints may be submitted to the UAE Ministry of Economy, Consumer Protection Department, or the relevant emirate-level consumer protection authority (e.g. the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism). This clause does not limit the Customer's right to pursue any other remedy available under applicable law.
10.1 These Terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), without prejudice to any mandatory provision of UAE law that applies to the Customer notwithstanding this choice of law, in particular under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and UAE narcotics and customs legislation.
10.2 If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
These Terms take effect on 08/09/2026.
